Personal Notes:

I took a taxi from Coimbatore and arrived at Velliangiri Hills around 5 pm, planning to climb in the evening to avoid the heat. The ascent was challenging due to the large crowd, but I was prepared with a bamboo pole and at least 2 liters of water. Refreshments along the route were a welcome relief. As I reached the summit temple around 9 pm, all my pain and exhaustion melted away. The breathtaking views of the city paled in comparison to the serene atmosphere and divine blessings of the Velliangiri temple. The peaceful ambiance brought me solace, and I felt rejuvenated. The descent was tough, especially in the rain, with slippery muddy paths. But the memories of the temple’s tranquility stayed with me, and I finally returned to the base temple by 2 am, taking an auto back to the city.

Important Note:

  1. The trek is known for its difficulty and is not recommended for everyone, especially those with medical conditions.
  2. It is crucial to be aware of the physical demands of the trek and take necessary precautions.
  3. One of the toughest and challenging treks in South India.
